marc_berley-01Marc Berley is a writer, editor, and musician. His fiction and poetry have appeared in The Iowa ReviewSalmagundiThe Threepenny Review and elsewhere. His nonfiction has appeared in LitHub and Writers Digest, as well as the New York Post, Star-Tribune, Houston Chronicle and other newspapers nationwide. He has appeared on PBS, BBC, WOR, KABC, and other radio and TV networks; his work has been covered by the Washington Post, Reuters, and USA Today. His alt-rock album Kick the Machine charted on college radio and played on the largest terrestrial radio station in Europe. He holds a BA, MA, and PhD in English and comparative literature from Columbia, where he was President’s Fellow and editor of The Columbia Review.  The author of After the Heavenly Tune and editor of Reading the Renaissance, he is founding editor of LitMag and Publisher of Bard Books. He lives in New York, where he recently completed two books on William Shakespeare, one groundbreaking, the other groundbreaking and sexy.
